100 gm Breadcrumbs
100 gm Butter or margarine
200 gm Brown sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
Cooked apple
Preheat the oven to 180�C.
Put the cooked apple into a baking dish. Melt the butter or margarine in a frying pan, add the breadcrumbs and cinnamon, then the sugar and fry until crisp. Be careful not to burn the mixture. Spread the breadcrumb mixture over the apple and bake until brown.
Walnuts can be added if preferred.
Replace the breadcrumbs with oats. This will then be gluten-free.
Replace the apple with gooseberries or rhubarb.
