Crunchies (or Flapjacks)

Cakes, Biscuits and Bread  

Ingredients

200 gm Oats
75 gm Desiccated coconut
100 gm Plain flour
200 gm Granulated white sugar
1 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
100 gm Butter or margarine
1� Tbsp Golden syrup

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 150�C.

Mix the dry ingredients. Melt the sugar, golden syrup and butter. Pour over the dry ingredients and mix well. Spread evenly over a well-greased baking tray and bake until golden brown - about 25 minutes. Leave to cool slightly then cut into squares and leave to cool and firm.
