100 gm Cheddar cheese
150 ml Single cream
3 Egg(s)
� tsp Salt
� tsp Black pepper
Shortcrust pastry
Make the pastry - see recipe for shortcrust pastry - or buy ready-made shortcrust pastry. Line a flan dish with the pastry.
Pre-heat the oven to 200�C.
Combine the eggs, single cream, salt and pepper and beat well. Add any cheese or other flavouring. Pour the mixture into the base. Bake for about 25 minutes or until the quiche is set.
For normal Quiche Lorraine, lay slices of cheese such as Gruyere over the base of the pastry. Add pieces of crisp bacon. Pour over the mixture and cook as directed.
Lay part cooked broccoli on the base and replace the cheddar with blue cheese.
Use lightly cooked vegetables such as asparagus with the cheese of your choice.
Spread the base with red onion marmalade and top with sliced goats cheese.
Use the mushrrom mix from the Mushroom Parcel recipe with the cheese of your choice.
Use roasted ratatouille vegetables with the cheese of your choice.
